500kW rooftop solar array
Formed in 2020, Silverwood School is a co-educational school for children and young people aged 4-19 years set across three campuses in Rowde (near Devizes), Trowbridge and Chippenham.
As part of a wider redevelopment, the school gained planning approval for a new classroom block and associated facilities to cater for up to 400 students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) at its Rowde campus.
WWCE is partnering with the school to fund the construction of a 500kW rooftop solar array on the new building. In doing so, the school will benefit from a free installation and will be able to purchase clean energy at a discounted rate going forward.
We hope to see the new project fully operational by the time students are welcomed back in the summer term!
